ELIGIBILITY: Open to any NPC athlete. (2005 NPC cards
will be available for $70.) Teenage competitors must not have exceeded
19 years of age the day of the contest. Masters competitors must
have reached the age of 35 the day of the contest. Proof of age
required. Novice competitors are eligible only if they have never
placed 1st-3rd in an open class or 1st place Novice Division in
any NPC sanctioned event. Novice Division I competitors are eligible
only if they have NEVER COMPETED BEFORE. Contestants may enter more
than one division, however, contestants will only pose once at the
evening competition.
AWARDS: Men's/Women's Open: 1st-5th in each weight
class. Teenage, Novice Division I and Masters: 1st-5th
one class each. Novice, Drug Free for Life 1st-3rd in each weight
class. (Novice and Drug Free for Life class must have a minimum
of 3 entrants prior to May 4, or number of classes reduced.) A Team
Trophy will be awarded to the highest scoring team. ($20 fee per
team is required.) Overall Men's and Women's Champions receive an
Overall award. (Note: 1st-5th place trophies in high school division
plus a high school team trophy.)

TESTING PROCEDURE: As a condition of acceptance into this event, each contestant
must pass a thorough 45-minute polygraph examination proving that
he/she has not engaged in the use of anabolic steroids, clenbuterol
or non-over-the counter diuretics at any time during the preceding
12 calendar months or for competitor's entire life if entered
in the Drug Free for Life Class . Upon receipt of entry form
and fee, the contestant will be notified where to go in Denver or
Colorado Springs for polygraph testing. The testing center will
attempt to accommodate each contestant's schedule. There will not
be any additional charge to the contestant for the test.
RULES : This contest is NPC sanctioned
and will run in accordance with the most recent NPC rules and procedures.
All decisions are final. MUSIC: Contestants will use their own music
for the finals, prerecorded on a quality cassette tape and CUED
TO YOUR STARTING POINT or a custom burned CD with only 60 sec. of
posing song on the CD. BRING TAPE/CD TO CHECK-IN. Time Limit:
60 sec. All competitors to be weighed-in wearing their posing
suit and all Figure competitors must bring their suits for inspection.
SCHEDULE : Check-in/ Weigh-in will
be FRIDAY, 6:00 - 8:00 pm, at the Host Hotel,(TBA), and prejudging
begins SATURDAY at 10:00am at Englewood High Auditorium. Evening
check-in will be at 5:00 pm, and the evening presentation begins
at 6pm (Note: High School check-in SATURDAY at 7:30 am, prejudging
SATURDAY at 9:30 am, evening check-in at 4:30 pm and finals at 5:30
pm.)
ENTRY FEE
: Entries postmarked prior to May 4, $75 for
the first class entered, $30 for each additional class. Entries
postmarked after May 4, $85 for the first class entered, $35 for
each additional class. NO ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER May 31st. NO REFUNDS. NO EXCEPTIONS. PLEASE SEND ENTRIES WITH
CHECK OR MONEY ORDER TO THE ADDRESS AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS FORM.

May 15.)

GENERAL CONTEST INFORMATION
- Each contestant must be
a current member of the NPC, (2005 NPC cards will be available
for $70)
- Entry Fee: $40 if postmarked
by May 4th, 2005. $50 for entries postmarked after May 4th, 2005.

- Contestants must wear high
heels in the swimsuit rounds Jewelry may be worn in the
swimsuit rounds.
- Thong swimsuits will not
be allowed.
- Competitors must bring their
one and two piece suits to check-in at the host hotel Fri., June
3rd, for inspection.
- Exhibition of poor sportsmanship
will be grounds for automatic disqualification.
- Due to limited backstage
area and for the competitors safety, only one assistant or trainer
will be permitted backstage with purchaseof a prejudging and evening
show ticket. (Competitors do not need a ticket)
- Contestant check-in: FRIDAY
6:00-8:00 pm at Host Hotel, Prejudging begins Saturday
at 10:00am at Englewood High Auditorium..
PUBLICITY
AND AWARDS: The top 5 winners in each of the
FOUR height classses for FIGURE,
(5'2" and under, over 5'2" - 5'4", over 5'4" - 5'6", and over 5'6"),
will receive Neils Anderson Figure Sculptures. The top 5 winners in each of the four height classses for FIGURE
will be nationally qualified for Jr.USA/Jr.Nationals, and the top
3 winners are eligible to compete at the NPC National Figure Championships
in NY. No money prizes may be given at the amateur level. Competitors
who have competed for money prizes lose their amateur status.
JUDGING PROCEDURES:
ROUND 1/SWIMSUIT
The contestants will
be brought out in 1 or 2 lines for the quarter turns in 2-PIECE SWIMSUIT. (Do not twist-look straight
ahead.)The judges will be scoring the physique by assessing overall
muscle tonewith shapely lines, overall firmness and a small degree
of muscularity with separation, no visible striations and no excessive
leanness along with a full general assessment including healthy appearance,
face, makeup and skin tone.
ROUND 2/ FINAL ASSESSMENT
The Athlete will be brought
back outin their original line in a 1-PIECE SWIMSUIT. At this
time judges may ask for certain contestants to be placed next to other
contestants.Then the quarter turns will be directed so the judges
can make any final comparisons they wish.
SCORING
Each round is judged
separately, and scores are turned in after each round.
EVENING PERFORMANCE
All contestants will
be introduced at the evening event in their two-piece suits .
